- Thursday, 07/29/2021 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Event Description
Join our Natural Areas staff for a morning in the prairie as we collect seeds from Golden Alexander - a beautiful yellow, mid-spring blooming plant. Seeds are collected to plant and enhance lands in other natural areas for pollinators, wildlife, and land restoration. Join us for what will be a unique and rewarding experience. No prior experience is needed. All tools and training will be provided. Children are welcome if chaperoned. Groups (students or other) need to contact Lars directly to register and talk over logistics.
We meet at 9:00 am and may drive or walk to a location within the park - please arrive on time.
What to Bring: Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toed shoes. Bring own drinking water, a hat, work gloves, sunscreen, and be prepared for mosquitoes.
