Snowmobile Trails are Closed

Effective today, February 22, 2006, all snowmobile trails in Dane County are closed. The recent warm weather and heavy trail use has significantly reduced snow depths within the snowmobile trail corridors. Additional snowfall and below freezing temperatures are required before the trails can be re-opened. Dane County Cross-Country Ski Trails are open and reported to be in good condition. For up to date trail conditions, call the Parks Info Line at 242-4576, or to speak to park staff between 7:45 AM and 4:30 PM, call 246-3896. ###
