What:  Take a Stake in the Lakes Days 2010 volunteer shoreline clean-up of lakes Mendota and Kegonsa

When:  Saturday June 12, 2010

 9:00 a.m. - noon

  • Rhea Stangel-Maier, Take a Stake Clean-up Coordinator
  • Volunteers and residents

Where:  Information Center at Alumni Pier of the UW-Madison Memorial Union on Lake Mendota. Volunteers at many locations.

Why:  The Dane County Lakes and Watersheds Commission is a coordinating and advisory agency within Dane County government. The Commission’s purpose is to protect water quality, as well as the scenic, economic, recreational and environmental value of Dane County’s water resources.
