The Dane County Land & Water Resources Department invites kindergarten through 12th grade students in Dane County to participate in the 2024 Conservation Awareness Poster Contest. The annual competition encourages students to showcase their creativity and express their thoughts on conservation practices.
The theme for the 2023-2024 school year is “May the Forest be With You, Always”.
The contest is open to all Dane County public, private, and home-schooled students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Submissions will be evaluated in five different grade divisions: K-1, 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. The top three posters in each category will receive prizes. First place winners: $20 gift card; Second place winners: $15 gift card; and Third place winners: $10 gift card. Each of the 1st place division winners will advance to the area competition, with a chance for their poster to win further prizes at the state and national level!
Posters and entry forms are due by 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024 to the Dane County Land & Water Resources Department.
